Volunteers are essential to our ReStore Warehouse as we receive donations of building materials and other home items, such as light fixtures, carpet, doors, sinks, toilets, etc. frequently.  The Decatur Area Habitat for Humanity ReStore welcomes volunteers (individuals and groups) who are able to help in a variety of roles and for any length of time. We are looking for volunteers who can lend a hand to assist customers, receive and organize merchandise and stock shelves

Experience and Skills-

  • No previous retail or construction experience needed. Basic skills are helpful

Responsible for the selection of  Families who may purchase houses from DAH4H

Responsible for providing a support system, educational opportunities and guidance of home ownership and maintenance

Coordinates funds needed to conduct business through fund-raising campaigns, grant writing and cultivation of  donors.

Responsible for public awareness of DAH4H's Mission

 Evaluates lots and houses that have been offered to DAH4H for possible construction sites or rehabilitation of existing  houses.
